Abstract
Some NPs, once released into the body through different internalization methods such as oral, parenteral, inhalation administration and skin adsorption, can affect redox homeostasis both by generating ROS or lessening scavenging pathways. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is one of the most extensively used nanomaterials for several applications, but the photocatalytic properties of TiO2NPs have raised many issues as a result of ROS generation while UV irradiation is performed.
