Solomiya Buk's monograph describes the experience of building a corpus of Ivan Franko's great prose, compiling frequency dictionaries and implementing statistical research based on these texts. Presentation and research of Ukrainian literary heritage in electronic corpora of texts, the creation and availability on the Internet of Ukrainian linguistic resources is a very important task for both Ukrainian philology and Slavic studies in general. Thanks to modern computers technologies have created unique opportunities for large-scale comparatives Slavic corpus studies, in which the Ukrainian language has long been a "white spot".
