LOGISTICS PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The article investigates the key aspects of building and implementing a logistics project management system in an enterprise. It is noted that project management issues are particularly relevant nowadays, as they have shown in practice high efficiency in solving complex problems in various spheres of economic activity. It is pointed out that the project management methodology has found application in many fields: construction, investment activities, IT sphere, logistics, etc. It is noted that the modern logistics function has moved from an operational system to a coordinating and management system. At the same time, the task of coordination and integration has so far been solved by the digital transformation of both supply chain actors and the processes that take place within them. It is pointed out that project management as a conceptual, methodological and practical technique can enrich the logistics toolkit. The combination of logistics activities and project management allows expanding the scope of their interaction, which can lead both to improved decision-making efficiency and enrich the project management system with cross-functional solutions and innovative methods of resource optimisation. It is noted that the implementation of logistics projects requires such an organization of management system and the creation of a corresponding form of management in which project management will be an element of formation and maintenance of competitive advantages based on logistics as a cost-effective and economical method of enterprise management. Factors impeding the formation and implementation of logistics projects are identified. The directions that are related with the problems of project management have been singled out. The principles of logistics design in accordance with the terms and directions of logistics project management are analyzed. An implementation scheme for the project management process has been developed and analysed in detail. The structural elements of the implementation of logistics project management processes are identified. It is summarised that the formation of a logistics project management system is conditioned by the structure of the logistics system and it is based on the conceptual foundations of the project management. A properly designed and implemented logistics project management system will ensure that the company maintains its competitive edge in the long term and will facilitate further development.
