Abstract
The article deals with the use of information technology for business needs, in particular in business social networks. They are online platforms that make it possible to establish connections between various social objects. Among the existing social networks, the following groups can be distinguished: created for private use, specialized and business social networks. Interesting for business communications are business professional networks, which are designed to establish business contacts. The spectrum of the most popular business networks is considered, the characteristics of each of them are given. One of the most well-known business networks, which also has the largest audience, is LinkedIn. It helps to create and expand a business, post business information, create company pages and advertisements, search for jobs, track vacancies and companies, study competitors and brands, carry out business correspondence etc. Other popular business networks are Opportunity, Ryze, Xing, Meetup, etc. Business social networks include a subgroup of networks designed for business communication in the internal environment, for example, companies — corporate social networks. They create a workspace for one or many groups, improve their business contacts, and facilitate the coordination of resolving work issues. In fact, it is a platform for communications, collaboration and distributed workforce management — everything that allows you to organize work in large corporations. A typical corporate network for business provides content placement in various formats, tools for discussion and online meetings, a calendar with reminders of important events for workgroups or the whole company, news posting, a contact database, and the like. So, in the present, social media plays a significant role in doing business and establishing business contacts. Companies that want to successfully organize their workflow, improve their market position and expand their clientele, find business partners and solve other business issues should use social media in their activities. They also play an important role in starting a business and solving the problem of employment.
