Preparation of carbethoxyhydrazones of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthous aldehyde and resacetophenone

The reaction of equimolar amounts of the corresponding carbonyl compounds with carbethoxyhydrazine synthesized under laboratory conditions in ethanol in the presence of catalytic amounts of glacial acetic acid (Zachinyaev Ya. V. 's method) resulted in condensation products — carbethoxyhydrazones of these carbonyl compounds. The qualitative and quantitative composition of the obtained substances was confirmed by elemental microanalysis.
