The role of self-efficiency in the activities of a future social services specialist

Abstract
The article problematises the vision of the role of self-efficacy of the future social services specialist in the professional activity. The results of an empirical study of social services specialists on the role of their self-efficacy in the professional activities are presented. Insufficient level of awareness of a significant part of the respondents regarding the essence, components, ways of self-efficacy development was revealed. A rather wide range of specialists' understanding of various aspects of self-efficacy and its role in professional activity is stated. Future social services specialists have shown an understanding of self-efficacy as a belief in their own ability to organize and carry out professional activities, faith in professional self-realization in social services, public recognition of personality, status, position in society, self-confidence, awareness of the value of their own activities. etc. The most favorable ways for the development of self-efficacy of future professionals are identified: the formation of values, motivation, focus and education throughout life, cognitive and professional interest, training and transfer of experience and more. It is established that future professionals are aware of the role of self-efficacy in their future professional activities, which will contribute to the effective solution of difficult life situations of clients, providing various services, maximum realization of personal potential in professional activities, self-formation and self-realization. A high level of self-efficacy in professional activities in the field of social services was found only in one-fifth of the respondents, which will allow professionals to achieve harmony and balance, psychological well-being, humane treatment of others
