Abstract
The article analyzes the trends caused by the rapid transition of the world educational system to the total use of the online format in education, caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic triggered the transition from traditional forms of education to distance education based on modern digital resources. Over the years of its existence in the context of a pandemic, the entire market of educational services in the world has significantly transformed, but especially the online education market, which has a significant impact on its Rus- sian segment. The article presents the main trends in the development of the online education market, based on statistical data obtained by Russian companies monitoring the online education market
