Abstract
This study aims at introducing the most important amendments to the principles of governance emanating from the Basel Committee on Banking Gouvernance, highlighting the importance of the term banking gouvernance and the foundations and mechanisms upon which it relies. It clarifies the role of the Central Bank in activating this term by supporting the issuance of legislation and regulations and promoting good practices in banks. While strengthening cooperation between those responsible for the management of banks and regulatory authorities and constantly seeking to improve the regulatory and infrastructural environment. The banking gouvernance in Algeria was also discussed. The Algerian state has followed the principles of banking governance through The Bank of Algeria, through the Monetary and Credit Law 90-10 until 11-03 and up to the 2010 reforms, has worked to reflect the concept of gouvernance. However, the Algerian banking system is still weak in implementing this law. Term.
