Abstract

The components of the concept of «quality of life monitoring», in particular, «social monitoring» and «quality of life», as well as a number of related concepts «Standard of living», «Lifestyle», etc. are considered. It is justified that monitoring is a universal technology because it is used to study objects of any environment. Under monitoring, the author understands a comprehensive method of cognitive and subject-practical activities aimed at continuous monitoring of the state of the social environment by predetermined parameters to analyze the state of the environment and its control, which allows effective forecasting and making optimal management decisions. At the same time, the systematic diagnosis of social well-being of the region's population with the help of sociological monitoring should intensify the dialogue of the population with local governments under the conditions that research will make appropriate management decisions and citizens will be informed. Analysis of different interpretations of the definition of «quality of life» shows that quality of life is a complex complex phenomenon of social life, each of the structural elements of which is a reflection of economic, social, political, legal, ideological relations in society, and therefore understood as social well-being population as a whole. The concept of «quality of life» is integrative in relation to such categories as «lifestyle», «standard of living», «lifestyle», «lifestyle», «standard of living». These concepts reveal and specify the content of the category «quality of life» at different levels of analysis of dynamics.
