PROBLEMS OF SOCIALIZATION OF THE FOREST INDUSTRY IN VOLYN

Forestry is strategically important for the economy of Volyn. Pavlova OM, Pavlov KV, Drebot OI and others devoted their works to this issue. In the conditions of economic transformation, the timber sector has undergone significant changes. The problem of inexhaustible and balanced forest use is becoming increasingly important. Improving forest infrastructure is a priority for the governing bodies of the Volyn Oblast Department of Forestry and Hunting. The article analyzes the current state and prospects of forestry development. The relevance of geographical studies of the state and development of forestry in the regional region is due to negative trends that have become particularly pronounced in the last decade. This situation requires in-depth study of the causes and rationale for solving forestry problems. This article is devoted to this issue (on the example of forestry of Volyn region). It is emphasized that the current state of forests and forestry indicates the urgent need to develop new bases for forest use, which would take into account the need for diverse and targeted use of forests, increase their sustainability, as well as active implementation of expanded reproduction of forest resources. The article suggests ways to improve the activities of the forest sector.
