Abstract

This research was conducted in order to determine whether or not literary expression has an effect on the expressionist paintings of fine arts high school students, and if so, to what extent. The research is limited to the "memoir" type of literature in literary expression and to oil paint as an artistic technique. The study group of the research consisted of 18 students studying in Giresun Fine Arts High School 12th grade. In the study, onesubject pre-test-post-test experimental design, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The data collection tools of the study are the graded scoring key used in evaluating the creativity criteria of the pre-test and post-test pictures made with an expressive approach and the literature review. Data; It has been analyzed with the "SPSS" program. According to the results of the evaluation made by three field experts; In terms of creativity criteria, it was determined that literary expression made a significant difference in favor of the posttest.
