Abstract
The essence of the concept of «time management» is revealed, modern tools of improving the competence of the military leader in time management are analyzed. The specifics of the officer's command actions and the peculiarities of the application of time management techniques in the commander's tasks are considered. It is emphasized that the ability to plan and effectively manage time plays an important role in organizing the professional activities of a military leader, called to perform complex combat tasks, quickly make important decisions and anticipate the consequences. It is emphasized that time management is a reliable basis for personal growth of military leaders focused on modern social priorities. Different approaches to the definition of this concept are given. Some basic problems concerning the correct distribution of time and ways of their solution in the form of working tools of time management (Eisenhower matrix, Pareto principle, method «Alps», ABC-analysis, etc.) which can be applied in service-combat activity of the officer are considered Foreign experience in military time management has been studied. The urgency of introducing effective approaches, methods and techniques of time management for the formation of leadership qualities of servicemen into the military sphere is substantiated.
