Nursing Care in the Context of Palliative Care: Integrative Review

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the scientific production published in online journals on palliative care and children with cancer. Method: This is a bibliometric study, carried out with 58 articles, of which 29 are national and 29 international, published between 2006 and 2016 and selected in LILACS, MEDLINE and BDENF databases. Results: The years 2013 and 2016 had a greater quantity of publications. 38 dissemination vehicles were identified. The journal Pediatr Blood Cancer was the one that published the most on the subject, the United States of America was the country with the largest number of published articles, however most studies were published in Portuguese. Publications produced by researchers in the field of Nursing and authors with the title of doctor predominated. Conclusion: The study showed that there is a small number of publications about palliative care and children with cancer, in the national and international scenario. This means that further studies on the subject are needed.
