Abstract
Submucosal injection of platelet - rich protein is a technique for speeding orthodontic tooth movement by imitating the impact of bone without causing alveolar bone loss or necessitating a surgical procedure. With a growing awareness of orthodontic treatment among people of various ages, the focus has shifted to improving the rate of tooth movement. The current ways of increasing tooth movement, as well as the role of platelet rich plasma, are discussed in this article. The use of platelet rich plasma and its effects on orthodontic tooth movement are also briefly described.
