Abstract
The success of any learning institution depends on its teachers. However, retaining qualified teachers especially in Arid and semi - Arid Lands remains a major challenge. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of teacher professional growth expectations on transfer intentions in public primary schools in Turkana County in Kenya. The study was anchored on job embeddedness theory. The study concluded that teacher progression growth expectations influence transfer intentions among the non - resident teachers in public primary schools in Turkana County.
