Abstract

Women empowerment and empowering of women can achieved only if gender equality has been established in society. Elongations of legal age of marriage are praiseworthy initiative by government but along with there is many problems in society which are faced by women day to day life for instance: Lack of sanitation, maternity problems, Domestic violence, lack of education, unemployment and many more. Women equality is long duration achieving battle. Indian society is going through many worse-conditioned phases which are mentioned many epics like Mahabharata, Ramayana, Samhitas, Smritis and Upanishads etc. In this paper we are going to analyze that how to benefit women by increasing a marriage age and how far it can be helpful to establish gender equality. Present papers also emphasise to study how to change social mindset which maintained orthodox thinking in societies.
