Abstract
Today, the modern civilization faces issues like climate change, land scarcity, overexploitation of natural resources, the immense amount of waste generation and it's safe and efficient disposal. Each day, millions of wastes are generated around the world, and most of it go un-recycled. A huge portion of this waste includes construction and demolition waste, rubber, glass waste, wastes from agricultural industry and different forms of plastic waste. With limited natural resources and scarcity of land, dumping all of the wastes into landfills is not a very efficient method to deal with it. Instead, a safe and environment friendly method of waste management could be re-using it. With the growing construction demand, the demand for resources required for its manufacturing subsequently increases. These constituents of waste can be utilized in concrete manufacturing. Including these waste constituents into the concrete will reduce some strain on the virgin construction materials and help reduce a significant amount of waste from the face of the earth.
