INFLUENCE OF CAPILLARY DIAMETER ON THE PERFORMANCE OF DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR BY USING HC BLEND AS REFRIGERANT

Abstract
This paper presents the performance evaluation of the alternative refrigerant HC blend using helical coiled capillary tube in domestic refrigerator. The length of the capillary tube is kept constant. Experiments were conducted for the different capillary diameters 0.79mm, 0.91mm, 1.02mm and 1.12mm. The result shows that the refrigeration system has better performance when the capillary tube diameter 0.91mm is used in the system.
