Abstract
A system based on Block truncation coding (BTC)is known as a possible candidate. While these methods also improved the efficiency of the BTC system, the benefits of low complexity in the BTC were still missed. Therefore, a cost-effective BTC-based image compression architecture. Since the hardware cost and performance limited the compression ratios due to the set block size. A higher compression ratio and a lower compression picture architecture must therefore be created. This document provides a new hardware-focused image compression algorithm for wireless sensor networks with a very wide integration (VLSI) implementation. The proposal algorithm has been used to increase image consistency and compression efficiency using a new variable-size block partition technique. Furthermore, Huffman coding encoded eight separate block forms in accordance with the possibility to further increase the compression ratio
