Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) proclaimed COVID-19, an infectious disorder triggered by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a pandemic in March 2020. More than 2.8 million individuals had tested positive as of this writing. Infections have been multiplying at an unprecedented rate, despite massive attempts to combat the epidemic. We aim to systematise current data science efforts in this field in this article. We survey public databases and libraries that can be used for more work to map COVID-19 spread and mitigation techniques, in addition to evaluating the increasingly increasing body of recent study. We provide a bibliometric review of the articles published in this brief period of time as part of this. Finally, we illustrate typical obstacles and pitfalls found in the assessed works, based on these findings. We have built a live resource repository1 that will be updated with new papers and datasets when they become accessible.
