Abstract

This research examines the present and future applications of Blockchain technologies in the corporate world, focusing on accounting and cybersecurity. We link the usage of Blockchain to existing cybersecurity and accounting issues. We examine the literature on topics such as Big Data in Accounting, blockchain's usage in financial protection and cybersecurity, and its use in financial accounting through ledger technology and as a framework for monitoring financial wrongdoing. We will look at the Department of Homeland Security's cybersecurity agenda over the next five years and see what the US government has planned in light of the value of cybersecurity. We illustrate how Blockchain affects auditing in a variety of areas that would radically alter the practise. We strongly believe that blockchain technology can be integrated into various areas of cryptography and accounting, including auditing and general accounting procedures. Via the usage of cryptocurrency, technology has been used in a variety of markets, the most prominent of which is banking. However, in terms of cybersecurity, the technology is feasible. This paper examined 30 analysts' visions of Blockchain usage cases in the cybersecurity industry. It was discovered that the majority of researchers are focusing on the use of Blockchain to secure IoT (Internet of Things) computers, networks, and files. The paper looked at the ways that previous researchers have suggested that Blockchain would provide protection to the three areas of IT that have been identified as troublesome. Finally, the paper suggests that future researchers concentrate on developing cybersecurity technologies on a common Blockchain to enable for convergence and uniformity across solutions.
