Abstract
Kala is one of the unexplained concepts in Ayurveda. It is a unique concept explained by Sushrutacharya in Sushrut samhita. Seven kalas are present in the body. Kalas are the covering between dhatu and Aashay. These are extremely minute particles and invisible to naked eye, similar to cells. They can be understood by their functions in the body. The specific kalas are located at specific sites. We can co-relate kalas as formative elements similar to the cell. For this co-relation we need to interpret and conclude the shloka’s in proper way to clear our knowledge about kala.
