СLASSICAL PRECEDENT TEXTS IN THE INTERNET FOLKLORE OF YOUTH: AXIOLOGICAL ASPECT

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the principles of actualization and transformation of precedent meanings in youth Internet communication. The present study is carried out in line with the linguistic and cultural approach to the study of precedent phenomena. Precedent is commonly understood as the ability to store and update culturally significant texts. It is the precedent phenomena that are the core components of linguistic and cultural concepts, which in turn are formed around the value dominant and represent a complex of associative and cultural meanings. Thus, the problem of updating precedent meanings and culturally significant values is relevant. Since in the modern world it is the Internet environment that gives an objective picture of the actualization and interpretation of cultural values, the genres of Internet communication are fertile ground for studying the axiosphere of youth representatives. The purpose of the study is to identify the features (mechanisms) of youth perception of cultural value meanings in mini-texts of Internet folklore, which are based on precedent phenomena. As the main research method, the method of analyzing the associative-cultural context of a precedent phenomenon is used, to identify the specifics of decoding precedent meanings, the method of a psycholinguistic experiment aimed at studying the peculiarities of perception of the value component of precedent phenomena. The scientific novelty consists in a detailed study of the mechanisms of reading the value component by young people as the most important process leading either to the actualization of value, or to its transformation and deaxiologization (with the displacement of value as such from the cognitive base). As a result of the analysis, the authors come to the conclusion that the values of classical culture are significantly reduced in the youth environment: even when reading the associative-game meanings of the precedent phenomenon, most youth representatives assess these transformations as “uninteresting” and “incomprehensible”, which indicates the irrelevance of the idea of the funny and comical, based on associative-cultural heuristics.
