EDUCATION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM: POST ENUMERATION SURVEY OF U-DISE IN TELANGANA STATE

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is a comprehensive and integrated flagship programme of Govt. of India to achieve universal elementary education (UEE) covering entire country in a mission mode. It is an initiative to universalize and improve quality of education through decentralized, context specific planning and time bound implementation strategy. The Unified District Information System for Education (U-DISE) provides the necessary technical and professional support to collect the information and maintain the database at the district –level program implementation under SSA programme. It is a computerized Management Information System (MIS) with school as unit of data collection and district as unit of data dissemination. It has been developed jointly by National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), Dept. of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, GoI and UNICEF.
