Abstract

Introduction. This article considers some aspects of civic education as a necessary prerequisite for the formation of legal competence of junior bachelors in the humanities. It was noted that civic education as a system-forming factor of legal competence of junior bachelors is in a state of research search, which has led to the presence of various kinds of interpretations and approaches to its processing elaboration and study. The purpose. The attention was focused on the content-filled concepts of «civic education»,«legal competence», «junior bachelor», «humanities». The expediency of understanding the problem of the quality of civil and legal competence of a future specialist in the logic of the educational subsystem «school-college-high school» was substantiated. Consequently, the result of studying in the higher education institution is not just knowledge, skills and abilities, but competencies. The exceptional role of the higher education institution in the formation of the legal competence of a modern specialist, which is based on the New Ukrainian School, was established. Methods. To achieve this purpose in the study used methods: theoretical (study, analysis,synthesis and comparison) and empirical (direct and indirect observation). Results. The influence of the main aspects of civic education on the advanced development of key competencies of junior bachelors of humanitarian specialties was proved. Conclusion. It was summarized that the civic competence of a future junior bachelor is a complex integrated education in the structure of a specialist's personality and can be considered as a system-forming factor of legal competence.
