The history of the evolution of the women's swimwear

The article examines the history of women's swimwear in different eras: the spontaneity of the Ancient world, the severity of the Middle Ages, the modesty and puritanism of the Modern Age, the bold steps of the early twentieth century, the conservative style of the 1930s, the revolutionary bikini of the 1940s, the intoxicating freedom of the 1970s, the triumphant femininity 1990s, democracy of the XXI century. The author studied the evolution of the swimsuit and traced its connection with the change in the moral foundations of society.
