Abstract
Calcium oxalate is one of the major constituent of renal calculi. Calcium containing stones especially Calcium Oxalate Monohydrate (COM), Calcium Oxalate Di-hydrate (COD), Calcium Oxalate Tri-hydrate (COT) and basic calcium phosphate, struvite, uric acid and cystine. The kidney stone is major health problem all over the world. Cobalt is widespread in the natural environment and can be formed as an effect of anthropogenic activity. The pure calcium oxalate and cobalt doped calcium oxalate monohydrate crystals were grown by single diffusion gel growth technique. The grown crystals were characterized by FTIR, XRD and SEM-EDX analysis.
