STUDY OF MENTAL PRESSURE AND EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS

Abstract

Man is a social creature and always strives for its existence and development. The role of education is very important for giving proper direction and meaning to the life of a human being. Education is an important means of change in society and transfer of culture. Education makes man an ideal citizen and provides solutions to problems. It is necessary to deal with various theories and practices that arise in the society that all the children of the society get education and the proper development of the ability to understand and solve the races in them. To get education, students must be physically and mentally healthy. The impact of social environment, catering, physical and mental well-being, interest and mental pressure etc. is clearly seen on the educational achievement of the students. Therefore, to understand the impact of mental pressure on the educational achievement of the students, 140 students studying in class X were selected by Survey Methods from the Government Inter Colleges of Sultanpur district. To analyzing research data, the stress measurement created by Dr.Vijay Laxmi and Shruti Narain has been used. And the marks obtained in class 10th by the students have been taken as their academic achievement. After study the researcher found that the academic achievement of the students is affected by their mental pressure. On the basis of data, the educational achievement of students with more mental pressure is less good than the expected educational achievement of students with less mental pressure. By analysis of data there is no significant difference in academic achievement of rural areas students and educational achievement of students of urban areas.
