EFFECTS OF DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY ON PHOSPHOROUS HOMEOSTASIS

A paradoxical metabolic imbalance in inorganic phosphate occurs from the early onset of diabetes and may lead to a reduction of high energy phosphates and tissue hypoxia.
