PECULIARITIES OF CLASSIFICATION OF MULTIMEDIA TOOLS IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING HISTORY

Abstract
Introduction. Multimedia technologies enable the creation and effective use of electronic (computer-oriented) educational tools in the educational process. The purpose of the article is to identify the peculiarities of using multimedia in the learning process by presenting common approaches to the main multimedia educational tools in history, the analysis of educational electronic publications as learning tools. Methods. analysis of scientific, pedagogical, psychological and methodological literature on the topic of research, comparison and synthesis of analytical information. Results. The article analyzes the main theoretical principles of the use of multimedia learning tools in the process of studying history and presents the main approaches to their classification. Attention is also drawn to the lack of standard pedagogy concerning the latest teaching tools, in particular multimedia and a number of related concepts, such as electronic learning tools / publications, electronic educational tools, pedagogical software, digital resources. As a result of the analysis of the results of the study by the domestic and foreign scientists of the structure of different types of electronic learning tools, it was found that educational electronic publications, as educational means, are accepted as electronic educational purposes stored on digital or analog data carried and reproduced on electronic equipment. Originality. The author presents general approaches to identifying six major multimedia teaching aids used in history teaching: electronic textbooks and manuals, electronic historical atlases, multimedia educational reference books, children game historical educational editions, and test programs on the control of historical knowledge and knowledge programs multimedia tools. Conclusion. The study agreed on some differences in terminology regarding the latest teaching aids, in particular multimedia and a number of related concepts, taking into account the specifics of the use of multimedia educational tools in the process of study history and social sciences and humanities.
