Role of Janani Suraksha Yojna (JSY) in National Rural Health Mission

The objective of the study is to analyze the role and aspects of Janani Suraksha Yojna (JSY) in National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).Janani Suraksha Yojna is one of the major components focusing on promoting the interest of institutional delivery through provisional cash transfer to mothers and ASHAs. The JSY has increased the percentage of institutional deliveries in India especially among weak sections of society and it is expected many more schemes will further increased the institutional deliveries in future and reducing the Maternal Mortality rate(MMR) and Infant Mortality rate(IMR) and bring healthy fairness in the population.
