Abstract

This article considers the relationship of equilibrium concentrations of water in glycols at the absorption gas drying depending on the temperature and pressure of the mass transfer part of the absorber. Evaluation of the quality of the dried gas in phase equilibrium with the absorbent does not require special devices and is based only on the thermodynamics of solutions. The main points of the considered method is the selection of a representative sample of glycol in the gas and the accurate determination of the water content in the glycol (Fisher method).
