The mean duration of the third stage of labour was 6.36 ? 1.47 mins in Group 1 and 25.30 ? 4.98 mins in Group 2. The average amount of blood loss was 191.53 ? 37.51 ml in Group 1 and 359.63 ? 61.11 ml in Group 2. There was no retained placenta in the study. One patient in Group 2 had PPH.
