Abstract
Mosquito fish (Gambusia affinis) and common Guppy (Poecilia reticulata) now being considered as invasive species posing a threat for local native species. Some related information has been collected regarding their introduction in environment as a part of VBDCP, their varieties and characters etc with a conclusion with my own experience of fish keeping and breeding.
