Ethical standards and code of conduct act as the guiding principles for the employees working in the organization. Living by the values of the organization forms the organizational culture. The research was conducted on 87 randomly selected teachers from higher education institutions about the presence or absence of well defined ethical policy or code of conduct and its impact on their work performance. The study concluded 81.6% of the respondents had well defined ethics policy and code of conduct in their organization. 49.4% of the participants revealed that following ethical policies and code of conduct improves their work performance.
