Abstract
Industrial development of Jamshedpur causes change in vegetation indices rapidly. This paper presents the monitoring of live green vegetation of Jamshedpur. The comparative analysis of NDVI, CTVI, TVI and TTVI is performed. The methodology used in this research is based on the raster calculator band in Qgis. The dataset includes OCM2 filtered NDVI of Jamshedpur, GCS, WGS-1984 captured from the Oceansat-2. NIR and R spectral bands are used to compute the Vis. The result shows that the value of NDVI varies from -0.2174 to 0.1656, CTVI value ranges from 0.5316 to 0.8158, the minimum value of TVI is 0.5316 and maximum value is 0.8158 and TTVI increases from 0.5316 to 0.8158. Thus result shows that within a month the values of VIs vary rapidly. This research would be helpful in future planning or development of industrial areas.
