THE COSTS AND EFFECTS OF BUILDINGS STRUCTURE FAILURES IN A DEVELOPING SOCIETY (THE NIGERIAN EXPERIENCE)

The incidence of buildings structural failures leading to the collapses of buildings in Nigeria in the recent past, leading to huge cost and its effects has become Vexations, menacing and embarrassing to the public and the individuals. This paper examines the cost implication and the effects of building structural failures on human’s lives, material resources and the development of the country. The paper also discussed the causes of building structural failures and recommendation.
