THE USE OF IT TECHNOLOGIES IN MODEL CURRICULA OF CIVIC AND HISTORICAL EDUCATION IN BASIC SECONDARY EDUCATION

Abstract

Introduction. In the conditions of development of the information society there is an intensification and improvement of the educational process, in particular, in general secondary education institutions. This is achieved through the use of a number of innovative technologies in the educational process, as well as updating the goals and content of education, in particular, by improving the regulatory framework in the implementation of the concept of New Ukrainian School. Purpose. The aim of the article is to determine the optimal components of effective use of IT technologies in the implementation of model curricula of civic and historical education in basic secondary education in the development of the information society. Methods. The analyses of scientific, pedagogical, psychological and methodological literature on the topic of research, comparison, synthesis of analytical information were used. Results. The article describes the basic principles and possibilities of using information technologies in the course of introduction of model curricula of civil and historical educational branch of basic secondary education. Attention is drawn to the consolidation at the legislative level, in particular, in the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education, approved in 2020 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine,among a wide range of competencies, namely information and communication, as the most promising in the information society. In the article presented as one of the important aspects of improving the educational process through the creation of information and educational environment of educational institutions for the study of civic and historical education. Originality. The author presents general approaches to identify six main components of the information and educational environment: electronic textbooks and manuals, electronic historical atlases, information and reference multimedia publications, children's game historical educational and developmental publications and test programs to control historical knowledge and skills using multimedia. Conclusion. The study agreed on some differences in terminology related to new teaching aids, including multimedia and a number of related concepts, taking into account the process of improving the educational process using IT technologies in the implementation of model curricula for civic and historical education in basic secondary education. Thus, the development of information and educational environment in educational institutions at the present stage is a priority of this process.
