Abstract
Using a wind tunnel for a model of horizontal axis wind turbine with circular arc blade profile theoretical and experimental investigation are performed. For good lift characteristics camberness ratio 0.08 is selected. Experiments have been conducted within the wind tunnel and obtained results are compared with the calculated ones. For calculated results, classical theories are used. These results are compared for different pitch angles such as 0°, 2°, 4°, 6° and 8°. It is observed that the results of the horizontal axis wind turbine having blades of NACA 4418 and circular arc profiles are comparable.
