Abstract
Variable speed drives are used in most common places like Vehicle traction, hoist, lift, hydraulic pumps and heavy machinery tracking applications (2002). DC motors were popular in the 1970s because they could be set to any speed. In any event, it has the disadvantages of requiring greater assistance, requiring brushes, and requiring a considerable investment; however, AC motors do not have these disadvantages [2]. Because of most modern power electronics revolution the AC motors are widely used in modern machinery tools. The Embedded controllers becoming more rigged and smarter so because of this the AC motor can be controller with the any complex control algorithm, since because of this AC motors are become most common drive than DC.
