Rationale for the selection of scientific focus of the journal (Editor's foreword)

The work illustrates the rising inability of widespread classical economical and mathematical methods and models to carry out the analysis and forecasting of financial and economic systems development, that does not allow to effectively prevent the appearance of sizeable and lingering crises on various stock markets. There is shown the necessity of revision of paradigm of economic science development, particularly, theory of economic and mathematical modeling. And it’s proposed to place on a footing of this paradigm the neuro-fuzzy technology. It’s grounded the expediency of establishing of specialized professional journal devoted to basic and applied research for development of neuro-fuzzy modeling techniques in economics.
