Abstract
One of the most discussed issues in the history of Islam is the companion of Moses is Khidr, the owner of mercy and knowledge. It is difficult to reach consensus on his presence or absence, his life or death, his identity and attributes. Because Allah has not given any definite information about the life and death, identity and attributes of this person who was the companion of Moses. Even the word Khidr, which the Prophet used to describe him, is not his name, but his nickname. Therefore, both his name and his presence are completely unknown. The debates about Khidr's identity are whether he is an angel or a human being; continues on the axis of being a prophet or a saint. It is difficult to come to a definite conclusion in these discussions. However, in 23 verses in Surah Al-Kahf, it is possible to make some inferences in the light of the verses about the identity and attributes of Khidr, whose journey with Moses is told. In this article, while commenting on the identity and attributes of Khidr, it will be adhered to the Story of Moses-Khidr verses of Surah Al-Kahf. The myth of Khidr, which takes on a legendary identity in folk narratives, will be avoided. Thus, it was tried to reveal a Khidr identity based on the Qur'an.
