Abstract
This research aims to understand how leadership processes occur in an innovation team of Nokia Networks - Brazil, through the Complex Leadership Theory. By using interpretive research methodology and in-depth interviews, we found in the administrative function: 1) leadership emerges according to the context and develops in a distributed way; 2) the strategic alignment of the team and the contribution of resources are facilitators for innovation. Regarding the adaptive function: 1) collaborative work among project members provides a shared learning environment that generates innovation and team flexibility for changes; 2) there are constant team interactions with other Complex Adaptive Systems for idea generation and new solutions. And in the enabling function: 1) team members are empowered in project development; 2) the feedback contributes to the creation of a transparent and trusting environment; 3) encouraging learning motivates teams to invest time and effort in finding new solutions and achieving project goals.
