The export marketing strategy is a significant factor that affects a firm’s success and performance in the export markets. In accordance with the export marketing strategies, the purpose of this study is to examine the performance of the firms in Elazığ that export. The primary purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the export marketing strategy and firm performance; in addition, the study tries to reveal the relationship between firm characteristics, export support on the part of the management, environmental factors, and firm performance. In the study the export marketing strategy was dealt with according to the marketing mix elements and its relationship with various performance dimensions was determined. In parallel with the related theory, the study supports that:The export marketing strategy that firms employ is directly related to the export performance, The export marketing strategy is the most significant explanatory variable in explaining the performance and it affects performance, Besides the export marketing strategies, the export performance is related to the firm characteristics and managerial and environmental factors.
