Abstract
Being among the last representatives of divan poetry, Rahmî has a divan and a 67 couplets masnavi called Esbiyenâme. In Esbiyenâme, poet tells about the hard journey he had on a skinny horse in a winter season. Standing clear from his friends because of his old, skinny and weak horse, he narrates his horse’s being a load for him, overcoming the tough road and learning about his friend death when arriving to his village in a humourous and philosophic style. Poet try to reveal the evil and mortal side of the world within the context of “way, journey, trouble and separation” indications and way metaphor again in a philosophic style.
In this work, the content, language and style features of Esbiyenâme will be examined.
