Ind Pak Relations in the Backdrop of Kashmir Problem Causes and Remedies

The Kashmir dispute has been going on since 1947 between India and Pakistan over the rights over Kashmir. The Instrument of Accession was signed for merger in India. Governor General Mountbatten approved it on 27 October. The blueprint of the Instrument of Accession was exactly the same as that used by hundreds of other princely states that joined India to include their respective states in India. There was no condition and no demand for special status for the princely state.
