A Short Review on Poisson Distribution with Some Applications and Properties

There are three important Discrete Distributions that use integer as random variables are Binomial, Poisson and Hyper Geometric Distribution. In this paper, we thoroughly discuss about Poisson Distribution. It was named after French Mathematician Simeon Denis Poisson. The applications of Poisson Distribution are also described in this paper, and how it related to our daily life problems. Here we shall find out PMF, CDF, Mean, Variance etc. of Poisson distribution. In this paper we shall learn about the relation between Poisson and other Distributions.
