Cognitive Impairment in Patients with Left Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

This paper attempts to decipher the impact, on an individual of the impairment of the left temporal lobe of the brain. In the process it looks at some of the other possibilities that could arise besides just Epilepsy. These other effects could be due to impairment of the temporal lobe, aided by other factors. The difference in the impact between children, young adults and elderly has also been mentioned. As it is a medical disease, the research in this area has been phenomenal, leading to far reaching gains in finding a treatment to counter the effects of this impairment.
