Abstract
This study is evaluates 25-hydroxy (OH) vitamin D levels of pregnant women and the effects of maternal vitamin D deficiency on her pregnancy and neonates. Optimal levels of vitamin D are essential as early as from the beginning of pregnancy for the risk reduction of pre-eclampsia and other pregnancy complications like gestational diabetes mellitus, pre-term labor and neonatal hypocalcemia.
