Abstract

This research defines the newly discovered coronavirus called Novel Coronavirus which has been announced pandemic of severe acute respiratory syndrome COVID-19 a large global outbreak and is a major public health issue as a biological disaster. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that may cause illness in humans and animals. In humans, several coronaviruses are known to cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Coronavirus has “high infectivity but low mortality”. The mortality rate ranges between 2-3%. It is significantly less severe than 2003 SARS (MR: 10%) or 2012 MERS (MR: 35%) outbreaks. The risk of death is only higher in older people (above the age of ~60 years) and people with pre-existing health conditions. As per the research time between catching the virus and beginning to show symptoms of coronavirus is 2-14 days with symptom onset is gradual and the symptoms long last in the mild cases-2 weeks, severe or critical disease- 3-6 weeks. Results as spread by people-to-people transmission via droplets or direct contact and infection estimated as the incubation period of 4 to 6 days. A pandemic is spreading in countries, the whole picture of the world is changing, it is considered as global changes in the year 2020. Every country is facing difficulties in this pandemic. In this research study, it defines about some of the major prevention and precaution followed by India to fights against COVID-19 and a total number of COVID-19 ve+ people cases (Confirmed case, cured case, and death cases in India till 30 April 2020. In India, 32 states and UT got affected with COVID-19, till dated 30 April 2020). The Indian government was continuously monitoring and tracking the spread of COVID-19 and finding the preliminary steps to fight with coronavirus. This study also describes the static view of a confirmed case, cured, and status of the sample tested to fight against COVID-19 for the UT Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India.
